The Christian Center for Counseling is a non-profit organization committed to the well being of our clients. Our philosophy is to take an integrative, hands-on and holistic approach and provide first class, personalized care with total privacy to our clients.
CCC provides counseling and therapy by experienced, licensed, Christian professionals that have masters and PhD level education.
CCC is open to anyone regardless of race, sex, or religion and offers “subsidized” counseling to people that cannot otherwise afford paying for counseling.
Our mission is to empower our clients with the tools necessary to make positive changes that will enhance their psychological and behavioral wellbeing.

Meet Our Founder
MSW, LSW, PsyD Candidate
Silvia works with adolescent and adult clients in individual, couples & family therapy. Her personal philosophy is that through human connection, we can foster the encouragement needed to take courageous steps toward creating positive change. She uses evidenced based and strengths-based approaches & believes in the inherent ability of each individual to overcome, when they are willing to step into their potential. Therapy illuminates the path so the client can make conscious steps towards emotional health. Her attitude is one of respect and acceptance of each client's individuality, allowing for the creation of a safe, therapeutic space.
Education and Experience
Licensed Social Worker and PsyD candidate.
Holds a Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University with a specialization in families and children.
Certified in Bowen’s Family systems; Nurtured Heart Approach, trained in Trauma Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, trained in Gottman Relationship Method and Imago Relationship Therapy.
Certified in different modalities treating victims of child sexual abuse. Extensive experience in working with families in crisis and families who have DCP&P involvement.
Specializes in CBT, Motivational Therapy, Couples Counseling, Individual Counseling and issues related to anxiety and stress-related disorders.
Compassionate, empathetic and solutions oriented mental health professional dedicated to providing exceptional care and implementing effective treatment plans.
